Since earplugs are worn in the sensitive ear canal, they must be hygienically packaged. Earplugs offered in PlugStations do not require any additional packaging material, because the dispenser itself reliably protects against contamination. All Moldex PlugStations from model year 2022 onwards can be easily opened and refilled.

When replacing a PlugStation, it comes with a new dispensing mechanism including a rotary handle. The handle of the PlugStation Antimicrobial is additionally coated with an antimicrobial CuVerro® V copper surface and the sensor-controlled PlugStation TouchFree dispenses earplugs completely contact-free.
